Organizational History and Future
DEEP Arts (the former Rochester Children's Theatre), was founded in 1991 and has been an important part of the Rochester, NY cultural landscape through residencies at the Memorial Art Gallery, The School of the Arts and Nazareth College Arts Center performing to over 40,000 students annually. During its fiscal 2014-2015 year, DEEP Arts transitions away from RCT’s historical site-based organizational model with programming focused on a traditional theatrical season to operate with a more flexible contemporary model. This significant change enables D.E.E.P Arts to offer high quality programming reflective of the evolving interests and needs of a broad range of audiences.
